We Just Turned It Up A Notch!

BUSINESS CASUAL... ALL THE TIME?


Okay, so some companies take business casual to a more business always extreme. However, mixing a fab blazer with a button down and boot cut jeans.. amaze! Our favorite girl does this very well.. Ms. Jennifer Aniston! 



High Waisted Crops

So.. afraid to wear high waisted pants? I know you shorties are saying.. NO WAY! There only for girls with long legs. Here's the trick, high waisted pants can be worn by anyone- it's all about length.  I don't personally go for the denim high waisted jeans because they tend to make you look hippy.  However- don't disregard the high waisted crops! High waisted crops lengthen your legs. Tips for pulling them off EVEN better? Buy a pant with a waist line that has some detail.  This takes the focal point from your hips/butt to your waist (your high waist, which is much smaller then our low waist.. right?) Also, don't wear them too tight.  The trick with high waisted pants are to wear them loose. Cinch your waist with a belt to show your waist line but keep it loose on butt/legs.   • 2 oz of Clear Premium Tequila (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
  • Tiny splash of Orange Liquor
  • Juice of 4 Fresh Lime Wedges
  1. To serve on the rocks, combine all ingredients over a glass of ice and garnish with a lime wedge

How are you starting YOUR day off FABULOUS?

Being from the north.. I understand when people get the "winter blues." It feels like you fall into this slump of grey skies and bad weather. How do you get energy to be productive? How do you make it a great day? How are you going to be your best you today? Guess What? I've got tips....


1. Tell yourself some affirmations!
When you get up you generally wobble into the shower half asleep right? I don't know about you but some of my best thoughts happen in the shower. Tell yourself some affirmations.  Like.. "I'm a strong and positive person and today is going to be a GREAT Day!" You may have a tough meeting at the office or have to face someone you don't care to see. Affirmation: "Today is MY day and for me to be the best me, I am going to work hard, keep my head up, and think positive!" 

2. Do something to make you feel good about yourself each day!
 Getting to the Gym is tough.. NOT getting to the Gym is tougher. Why? Because you beat yourself up for being lazy or making excuses for why you didn't get there.  We have all heard the buddy system works and it does. See if you can get someone to accompany you. If you are like me, you change out of your work clothes... take one look at the couch... plop down and you can imagine what happens next.. zzzzz~ Change out of your work clothes immediately and into those gym clothes. *Buying FABULOUS exercise gear that makes you feel HOT helps~ :)  Another tip would be to post a picture somewhere of someone's body you want to resemble.  Keep your goal in close proximity! 





3. Take care of your health!
So many of you know that my husband is currently studying to be a Chiropractor but that is not where my bias for them being the rockstars of the health world comes from. I have had my own personal battles with health and it's the only thing that worked for me.  No drugs/medicines could do it for me and I am willing to bet there are better and healthier alternatives out there for you too! Chiropractic care can help literally EVERYTHING.  Your first question: can chiropractic care help this..  the answer is YES. Everything from fatigue, lack of concentration, tiredness, menstrual pains, turning your baby if pregnant, mood swings, urination incontinence, any body pain or discomfort, and the list goes on.  I get adjusted at least once a week and it helps me be my best me.  I have more energy and am more productive each day because my body is running at 100%. My nervous system is clear and I feel my best each and everyday! Can you say that? If not, you need to check out a Chiropractor! 






Trend Tip:  Mini Dresses!




Wear a minidress this winter! Long sleeves are an obvious need right now but why not make it fashionable? Take a long sleeve mini dress and jazz it up with some tights/boots/layered necklaces and bangles for the perfect look! 
Don't be afraid to try prints- prints are SO winter 2011!  
(Just make sure you don't over do it with multiple print patterns- one is enough!!)
